Student aid awards

One question we’ve been hearing a lot lately is “When will financial aid information be sent out?” Well, the good news is that your wait is almost over. Our colleagues in the Office of Student Aid hope to send the first round of award emails this week. The first round will cover incoming first-year students who had a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file by March 1. Awards will then go out on a weekly basis for those who filed their FAFSA after March 1.

To view your financial aid information, you’ll need to follow the directions in the email sent by the Office of Student Aid. The student always receives an email and parents who included their email address on the FAFSA will also receive an email with log-in instructions.

Once you’ve logged in, use this link to help you understand your financial aid award notification.

Please note, this is a very busy time of year for the Office of Student Aid. They recommend that anyone with questions about their financial aid award first visit the Office of Student Aid website, where they have tried to answer many of the most common questions. If you still have questions, they recommend you contact them first via email using the form at the bottom of this page.

We know families are weighing options at different schools and that often cost is a big part of that equation. We hope, by having your financial aid information, you’ll be one step closer to accepting your Penn State offer.
